Collection of animal paleontology

The collection of animal paleontology of the University of Liege is one of the most important universitary collections in Belgium. Extremely diversified, it includes, among others, fossiles of Carboniferous reef organisms (approx. 350 million years), remains of dinosaurs and giant marine reptils of the Cetacea (approx. 70 million years) or remains of a Neanderthal child discovered near Engis dating back several thousand years ago.
