Abstract: En 1966, sur le campus du Sart Tilman en gestation, l'Université de Liège présente en plein air une première exposition de sculptures d'artistes belges. Une oeuvre de Jean Willame est exposée dans le parc du château de Colonster. L'Université en décide l'achat en 1967, à l'occasion de son 150e anniversaire, dans la perspective de la création d'un "musée de sculptures".
Au début des années '80, Claude Strebelle, architecte - coordonnateur du domaine, l'installe dans les pelouses du jardin des pierres, devant l'Institut de Physique.
